Red

It is impossible not to think of Ruby , and why not - Ruby has fascinated mankind for generations , being the most prized of the gemstones in the ancient world.

But again Ruby is not alone , please consider the other red stones - Garnet , Spinel , Fire Opals , pink sapphires and Diamonds.

This is not an exhaustive list , and we can only include a few in our red pages please view them and decide on your favourite shade.

Spectra

Any guide to the diversity of gemstones would be lacking without mention of the yellow hues of - Citrine , Imperial Topaz , yellow Sapphires and Diamonds - and of course the beautiful and ever popular Amethyst

Another purple/violet stone is Tanzanite which occasionally crosses into the blue but fine specimens are prized for their almost electric indigo/violet colours

This section covers some of these and other gemstones which do not fit into the previous 'big 3'.

Under the rainbow.

Some gemstones display more than one colour at a time, Ametrine is a natural stone which combines the colours of Amethyst and Citrine in an amazing display.

This section also makes use of the combination of coloured stones and Diamonds to create stunning individual pieces of jewellery all designed and hand made in our Perth or Joondalup workshops.

Many popular and beautiful stones have not made these pages , however they will probably be included in one of our future issues.
